Serving the Servant, Danny Goldberg

The base of the book is the author’s subjective description of the time he was connected to Kurt Cobain (the last three and a half years of his life), when Kurt did the work he is most remembered for. Goldberg was Nirvana’s music manager. He discusses in detail the relationship b/w Kurt and Courtney Love, Kurt’s addictions, his suicide, the aftermath. A page-turner for those who like Kurt and the grunge scene. He does a good job examining the hardships of fame, and what can do to a person… the complexities of a rock star – the good and the bad. It’s his opinions so take it as you will. You can see he definitely worships Cobain and Love, and the respect he has for them both is immense.
