They Call Me Supermensch, Shep Gordon

ree

I first heard of Shep through the documentary, directed by Mike Myers, which paints a portrait of Gordon as a charismatic and unconventional manager who has worked with an array of iconic artists, from Alice Cooper to chefs like Emeril Lagasse. The book offers a more fascinating look into Shep’s life and career in the entertainment industry. Gordon's unique approach to management, emphasizing his kindness, generosity, and genuine care for his clients, which earned him the moniker "Supermensch.”  There are entertaining anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories from Gordon's decades in the business, and his pivotal role in shaping the careers of many famous individuals. It explores his ability to navigate the worlds of rock and roll, film, and the culinary arts with self-confidence in what you do. It also touches on Gordon's personal life and philosophies (Buddhism based), providing a well-rounded view of a man who is both a savvy industry player and a deeply compassionate individual.
