Calypso, David Sedaris

I’m not much into nonfiction works that’s major theme is humor, but thought what the hell… I laughed my butt off in sections. First book I’ve read from author Sedaris, and his stories are a wild ride into dark humor. His emotional observations about mortality and middle age are funny for those of us in that category, where the body no longer performs the way it used to. His chapters, ‘A Number of Reasons I’ve Been Depressed Lately’, and ‘Why Aren’t You Laughing’, our classics. His observations: “Whenever I see a young woman boarding a plane in her pajamas, or a guy in a t-shirt that reads “Your Hole is my Goal”, I always wonder what their Mom would think.” Exactamundo David.
